Snare, with over 16 years of investment experience -- primarily working with high net-worth individuals -- previously was a senior manager in the Investment Consulting Services practice for Deloitte & Touche Investment Advisors. While at Deloitte, he was a member of the Investment Policy Committee that established policy for the national practice.

Snare is a member of the board of directors of Islandwood, an environmental education organization on Bainbridge Island, Wash., where he lives with his wife, Jane, and two children, Allison, 11, and Jason, 9. He is a chartered financial analyst, a certified financial planner, and a certified investment management analyst.

Snare received a master's degree in business administration from Wayne State University and a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Nebraska.
