National Office Internship Application Process
Interested applicants are required to submit a résumé, cover letter, and contact information with three references. Interns who are required to do a lot of writing in fulfillment of their internship need to submit a writing sample of no more than 1,000 words.

The cover letter should address why you want to intern at Public Education Network; prior skills, knowledge (including course work) and work; experience (including research) relevant to the internship; experience in or passion for public education issues and public engagement; immediate post-internship plans as well as longer term career goals; and what you hope to gain from your PEN internship experience. PEN requires at least one month from the submission of the application to process internship information.
The level of knowledge and skills an applicant brings to PEN are particularly important within the context of a specific internship position.
