Lincoln Public Schools Foundation (LPSF) collaborates with community partners to develop local capacity for a sustainable, citywide, school-linked, school-based network of community learning centers (CLCs). Building on a pilot LPSF program supported by federal and national grants, this initiative facilitates the development of a network of 15 CLCs. Lincoln Public Schools Foundation aims to build grassroots and community-wide leadership structures to oversee, advocate for, and monitor CLCs. The core organizational elements of the LPSF model follow:

Community organizations providing services in partnerships with schools

Grassroots ownership and guidance through school neighborhood advisory committees

Site supervisors at the schools

Community-wide support through a commission of community leaders and advocates

Statewide advocacy to cultivate long-term sustainability
